The National Hurricane Center continues with INVEST-97L, showing a 70% chance of some development with the system making landfall between Houston and Beaumont Tuesday. This event should be very short lived.
The main threat from this system is possible flooding rain, which could in some places exceed 4-6" from the upper Texas coast into Louisiana. Those from Houston to New Orleans needs to monitor this system closely.
Here in the Coastal Bend, Continued hot days with high heat index temperatures.
Moderate to major risks of heat continue across South Texas.
